Bee keepers in many countries have lost their bees because of Varroa mite. With the development of modern agriculture, Various countries have developed a lot of drugs against varroa mites, but the high price of most drugs makes many bee farmers flinch. Flumethrin Strips (known as Bayvarol) was widely used by bee keepers as a product to control varroa mites. The varroa mites killing rate is between 90-97%.

Api-Flume

Commodity name: Api-Flume(20 pieces per bag)

Character: Transparent plastic strip.

Pharmacological action: This product is of acaricides, killing mites majorly through contact killing. It works in every growth stage of mites, acts on eggs, nymphs, and adult mites, and possesses rather strong rapid availability and long sustainable effectiveness.

Cautions

1. The medicinal strip can’t be placed continuously inside the hive for more than eight weeks;

2. When hanging strips, make sure wearing protective gloves.

3. Abandoned drug strips mustn’t be used repeatedly, instead, they should be destroyed with a centralized disposal;

4. No contact with edible honey and no storage with pesticides or other chemicals together;

5. Open the package just before the immediate use;

6. Use it prudently in a cloudy rainy day or when the temperature is lower than 20℃ ;

7. Because there are differences in air temperature, region, population of a bee colony, and bee individuals, try out one swarm or two before the use of the medicine, observe for 24 hours, adjust the dosage according to the effect to kill mites and bee safety in order to reach the best effect to kill mites.

Veterinary recommendation: Hang one strip for each 10 brood frames, 6 weeks as a course of treatment (dosage can be increase or reduce in terms of the honey bee's actual situation).

Drug withdrawal period: No use in the dormant phase.

Disposal of waste packaging: Converged incineration after its use
